Q1: How does the EW-8030 ensure that crimped terminals are inserted into the housing block without bowing or jamming?
A: Inserting tiny terminals into small multi-pin plastic housings requires high physical alignment. The EW-8030 manages this by using dedicated servo motors to guide the terminal carrier and the housing nest with sub-millimeter precision. The insertion motion is programmed to advance at a regulated speed, ensuring the metal terminal click-locks into the housing cavity perfectly without bowing or bending the wire core.
Q2: What is the mechanical benefit of using an eccentric shaft and cam structure for terminal crimping?
A: Standard toggle joint presses can suffer from slight force imbalances during high-speed shifts, causing uneven crimp heights or loose terminal joints. The cam and eccentric shaft design of the EW-8030 distributes the mechanical load evenly across the entire downward stroke of the press. This results in a highly balanced two-ton crimp force, yielding clean terminal crimping geometry and excellent electrical conductivity.
Q3: Can this machine process wires of different gauges or specifications at the same time?
A: No. While the EW-8030 can process a wide wire range from AWG28 up to AWG20, any multi-wire run running two to six colors simultaneously must utilize wires of the exact same physical specifications. Running different wire diameters concurrently will cause wire slippage along the feeding track, uneven stripping cuts, and terminal crimp calibration failures.
